Architect’s Office Fitout
Breakfast Creek, Brisbane
The brief was to refurbish and fit out an existing office space, re-using as much of the existing superstructure as possible. New spaces were need for a front waiting room, a private meeting room, as well as some general office/library space and a director’s office.
Various design strategies and concepts were studied and their integration implemented into what became a new open-plan design layout, but with the ability for spaces to be separated off if necessary.
External environmental conditions needed to be incorporated into the design, especially with the soft filtered light and the parkland views available outside. These were enhanced by using some additional adjustable timber screens to give a lovely play on light within the internal spaces.
